20 February 2009 in the Municipal House of Culture was held Gala competition for capping LIDER CITY ECONOMIC PIEKARY ŚLĄSKIE 2008. In the category of small business honorable mention received Energo-Complex Sp. z o.o. Honorary sponsor of the competition became Professor Jerzy Buzek - MP The European Parliament, Chairman of the Chapter was Michael Wojcik - Deputy Director of the Board of Trades in Katowice.The chapter included specialists in the fields of economics, entrepreneurship and finance as well as representatives of the media. The organizer of the event was the Mayor of the City of Piekary Śląskie (Poland) Stanisław Korfanty and Office of Promotion and Development of European funds.
